On Sunday 13th April 2008, a group of around 30 family, close friends, former Scouts, Geog-Ex and Ibex members laid his ashes to rest on a hill overlooking Loch Tay. Click the picture for a bigger version.
Somehow you expect your teachers to be immortal. He was a magnificent geography teacher. He's the man who taught me about glaciation and I've never looked at the Scottish countryside since without thinking if him. Saddened by his passing and in awe of his life. Be at peace Mr Barr.

How very sad. He was a great teacher and very funny. What a marvellous life he led, despite not taking me to Iceland!
